While my motherboard could support over 3200 RPM, my CPU was only rated to work with 2933 RPM memory. The fix suggested was to lower my RAM speed. While my RAM, in theory had no issues with compatibility, was not tested by Gigabyte and therefore COULD be unstable in certain scenarios. The Qualified Vendor List (QVL) is a list of other parts that are guaranteed to be compatible, as they are tested by the manufacturer. That particular part number was not listed on the QVL for my motherboard. This allows you to take the DUMP files created by Windows to log BSODs and view them in a GUI. Here are some screenshots of an application called BlueScreenView. Uncapped, I get about 220-240 FPS depending on what is going on in the game. I keep it at 160 FPS capped, and it very infrequently dips below. Furthermore, when the game is running, it is very smooth. My temperatures never really go higher than 60° C, and that is the top end. I thought it was especially weird because my computer specs are more than sufficient: When the game crashed it would either a) just close to desktop (at which point I could still hear my teammates until I clicked on the Valorant icon to re-open) or b) freeze the screen (for which I had to Ctrl+Shift+Esc to log out, sign back in, and then reopen Valorant) or c) BSOD with a variety of errors that all pointed to RAM issues (will get to that later). Since the closed beta, I had been experiencing game crashes multiple times per session and BSODs at least once a week, neither of which were happening with any other game on my computer. This is a compilation of advice I got from r/techsupport and one of my friends who is far more knowledgeable than I am. I am by no means an expert with computers, I am gaming on the first PC I have ever built. Hello everyone, I think I have found a fix for Valorant crashing and causing my computer to bluescreen.
